AREA OF RESEARCH

The primary focus of my research is to develop and apply sequencing based genomic technologies for genome and epigenome function elements interrogation pertinent to lineage specification and development.  Using various second generation sequencing platforms, my research focuses on integrating the technology development effort to construct global, high resolution and unbiased functional networks constituted by the key genetic modulators in stem cell genomes and their dynamics throughput developmental process.  Furthermore, we are also interest to characterize how these modulators can directly impact on gene expressions.  Such knowledge will provide fundamental understanding in various nuclear processes including transcription, add new insight on the unique gene expression patterns crucial for cell fate determination and open the possibility of manipulating such structures to achieve cell type specific differentiation.
