Our medical team specializing in biotherapy and nurses are committed to support a multidisciplinary and individualized for our patients.

The unit's objective is the development of innovative immunotherapies in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), based on fundamental knowledge gained on the interactions between mesenchymal cells, dendritic cells and T cells involved in the induction and regulation of this autoimmune inflammatory disease. Initially, we have developed viral vectors to express therapeutic genes and validated this approach in experimental models of arthritis. We have also demonstrated the feasibility of using dendritic cells (DC) to modulate the autoimmune response characteristic of this disease. In parallel, we developed a method of expanding mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) with a view to combine the repair of cartilage, in vivo secretion of therapeutic molecules and immunosuppressive properties of these cells in arthritis.
